April 24, 1990: 35 Years of Images

On this day, NASA’s STS-31 mission launched the Hubble Space Telescope aboard Space Shuttle Discovery, marking a transformative moment in astronomy.
Since then, Hubble has contributed to over 21,000 peer-reviewed research papers and accumulated more than 1.2 million citations. Its data has significantly advanced our understanding of the cosmos and reinforced the value of space-based telescopes in scientific discovery.
